Bitter Pepper Negroni

Ingredients

  • 30ml Three Wrens Pepper Street Gin
  • 30ml Campari
  • 30ml Sweet Vermouth
  • Ice cubes
  • Orange peel (for garnish)
  • Cracked black pepper (optional, for garnish)

Step-by-Step

  1. Prepare your glass: Fill a rocks glass with ice to chill while you mix the drink.
  2. Mix the drink: In a mixing glass, add plenty of ice cubes. Pour in 30ml of Three Wrens Pepper Street Gin, 30ml of Campari, and 30ml of Sweet Vermouth.
  3. Stir: Stir slowly for about 20–30 seconds to chill and dilute slightly.
  4. Strain: Tip the ice out of your rocks glass, then strain the Negroni mixture into it over fresh ice.
  5. Garnish: Express the oils from a piece of orange peel over the drink by twisting it, then drop it in. If you like, add a very light sprinkle of cracked black pepper to bring out the gin’s spice.
