A departure from our range of flavoured gins, this is a style of gin that our master distiller, Nick, has been itching to make for a while and took month of careful planning and research to execute. Nick wanted to create a gin with the maximum amount of Juniper possible, in our small 50 litre still. Juniper contains lots of essential oil, and if you use too much, it will turn your gin cloudy. In the build up to launching this gin this, we distilled various amounts over many trials, until we discovered the maximum you can distil whilst maintaining crystal clear clarity. Nick also distilled part of our Christmas tree into the gin, adding rich notes of resinous pine. Upon opening the bottle you are greeted with plenty of Juniper and anise on the nose, with a rush of cardamom and toasted orange.
The first sip leaves you in no doubt this is a serious gin, very smooth, but also packing a hefty punch at 43.7% abv, with a complex medley of spices reminiscent of winter days and roaring fires. If you truly love Juniper, we think you will love this, and hope you will share it with family and friends (although we won’t blame you for keeping it all to yourself).
