Strawberry Basil Martini

Ingredients
- 50ml Three Wrens Strawberry & Basil Gin
- 15ml Elderflower liqueur (e.g., St-Germain)
- 15ml Fresh lemon juice (about half a lemon)
- 10ml Simple syrup (adjust to taste)
- 2-3 Fresh strawberries, hulled
- 2-3 Fresh basil leaves (plus extra for garnish)
- Ice cubes
- Optional: Cracked black pepper (for garnish, adds a nice kick!)
Step-by-Step
- Muddle the fruit & herbs
In a cocktail shaker, gently muddle the strawberries and basil leaves together to release their juices and aroma. Don’t overdo it — just enough to break them down.
- Add the liquids
Pour in the Three Wrens Strawberry & Basil Gin, elderflower liqueur, lemon juice, and simple syrup.
- Shake it up
Add a generous handful of ice. Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
- Strain & serve
Double strain (through a fine mesh strainer) into a chilled martini or coupe glass to remove the pulp and basil bits. - Garnish
Garnish with a small basil leaf floating on top, and if you’re feeling adventurous, a tiny crack of black pepper over the top enhances the basil and adds a unique twist.
