At Three Wrens Gin, we often hear this question: “How many calories are in a gin and tonic?” Whether you’re counting calories or just curious, we’ve got the answers, and some fun tips to make your G&T experience even better!
Breaking Down the Calories
Gin
A 25ml measure of gin contains approximately just 54 calories. If you prefer a 50ml double, you’re looking at around 108 calories before adding tonic.
Why not make those calories count with a premium craft gin that you can be sure contains no nasty additives? Try our award-winning Three Wrens Dry Gin for a beautifully balanced sip.
Dry gins are typically a little lower in calories than fruit gins, but there isn’t much in it so dont feel guilty for going for any if our range!

Tonic Water
Your choice of mixer plays a big role in the total calorie count:
- Regular tonic water – Around 43 calories per 150ml
- Slimline (diet) tonic – Almost zero calories
That means a standard single gin and tonic with regular tonic totals approximately 97 calories, while a slimline G&T is closer to 54 calories.
Want to make it even lighter? Swap tonic for soda water and fresh lime! It enhances the botanicals of our Raspberry Gin without extra sugar.
Low-Calorie G&T Challenge!
Want to experiment with lower-calorie alternatives! Try mixing Three Wrens Apple Crumble Gin with cloudy apple juice and elderflower press! Delicious and diet-friendly.
